Embracing Ones Inner Child: The Path
The path to embracing ones inner child is not the same for everyone. For me, it started out with a need to no longer stifle the inner child, but to embrace it and make it a part of my adult self. This process has been life changing for my path to becoming a whole, healthy person and surviving as an adult survivor of child abuse.
My focus has been on a parallel path of improving mental and physical health and de-stressing from 'life' along the way. One can learn a lot from being with children. As a grandparent, I have been afforded re-entry into a wonderful world where I can reacquaint myself with my inner child.
So use your imagination, sing, dance, and color with crayons or whatever helps you find that balance.
